Located just on the fringes of downtown, Wild Acre Brewing Company is a Fort Worth institution that promises live music, sprawling outdoor spaces, and innovative brews.

In the 1800s, this part of town was known as Hell’s Half Acre, a Wild West of gambling, shootouts, drinking, and revelry for all the travelers and traders passing through.

Although it has certainly calmed down since then, Wild Acre Brewing Company keeps the spirit of adventure alive with Fort Worth craft beer as legendary as the land this amazing brewery stands on.

Sample their Billy Jenkins Bock, a clean, balanced blend of domestic and German malts with tasting notes of biscuit and toffee, or opt for the popular T-Hawk IPA with its bright flavors of pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits.

Start off the evening with a crowd-favorite appetizer like the jumbo meatballs or homemade soft pretzels (with 5 different flavors and your choice of 6 dips). Then snag something delicious from their extensive pizza menu, or build your own pie.

To pair with your meal, try the Ocho, a flavor-packed IPA with citrus, tropical, floral, and earthy notes, or the easy-drinking 1849, an Irish red ale with hints of caramel, toffee, toast, and biscuit.

Martin House Brewing Company

There’s always something new brewing at Martin House, with weekly releases, funky flavors, and a go-to roster of year-round favorites to fall back on.

From their core menu, try the piney Imperial Texan, the iconic Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer, the sour, raspberry-infused True Love, or the classically sippable Martin House Pils.

Last but not least on our list of standout Fort Worth breweries is Revolver Brewing, a family-owned, countryside spot run by father and son duo, Ron and Rhett Keisler.

Although it is a bit of a trek outside of downtown Fort Worth (30-40 minutes), you’ll be greeted by the charming historical buildings and small-town hospitality of Granbury, Texas.

Their most celebrated brews include the Blood & Honey, a deep golden ale that finishes with a kick of blood orange zest, local Texas honey, and other spices, as well as the Sidewinder, a very pale ale brewed with agave nectar, citrus, and maize.

The beloved brewery is open every Saturday from 11 AM-6 PM, serving up not only their legendary beer, but also a rotating lineup of food trucks, live music, and fun for the whole family.

You can even bring your own picnic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy, as well as any furry friends.
